The landscape of Georgia high school football appears headed for change, as Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.) head coach Jeff Herron is leaving to become the head coach at Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, Ga.), according to a report on Tuesday night by Todd Holcomb of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Herron led Camden County to state titles in 2003, 2008 and 2009, and delivered the south Georgia program to national prominence. During his tenure, he helped Camden County earn victories over Cleveland Glenville, Miami Central and Hoover (AL).

In 13 seasons, he compiled a 158-18 record, according to the newspaper. Prior to his tenure at Camden County, he also led Oconee County to a state title.

On Wednesday, Prince Avenue Christian is expected to announce Herron's hiring. Taking over for Mark Farriba, Herron inherits a program that has won at least 12 games in each of the past two seasons.
